PSYCHOTHERAPY FOR ASIAN IMMIGRANTS IN ONTARIO
One service. Structured, relational, and built to go deep.
One-on-one psychotherapy for 1.5 and 2nd generation Asian immigrants across Ontario.
This is not a menu. It is a commitment.
to slow down and reflect
I offer one thing: individual psychotherapy. No coaching programmes, no group sessions, no self-paced courses. Just one-on-one therapy, done properly, with someone who understands what you are actually carrying.
I made this choice intentionally. The work I do requires relationship, depth, and time. That cannot happen across a roster of different formats. If you are here, you are ready for something real. This is what real looks like.
THE OFFERING
One-on-One Psychotherapy
Individual therapy sessions designed around your history, your patterns, and your goals. We move at the pace the work requires, not the pace that is convenient.
-
A structured intake process so I understand your full picture before we begin
Protected weekly sessions with built-in breaks designed to support deeper work
A relationship-first approach where trust is built before we go into difficult territory
Work that connects your present-day patterns to their roots in family, culture, and growing up in Canada
Practical tools developed alongside deeper exploration, not instead of it
A process that moves through four stages: understanding what you feel, building the capacity to regulate, exploring where it all came from, and defining what you actually want your life to look like
-
You are a 1.5 or 2nd generation Asian immigrant in Ontario. You are functioning on the outside and running on empty on the inside. You feel guilt about wanting your own life, anger you cannot fully explain, and a persistent sense that you have been living for everyone else. You are ready to stop managing and start understanding.
THE APPROACH
Your journey to F.R.E.E.
Therapy can feel like a black box. Here is how we actually work together.
Step 1 — Feelings
We start by understanding how your emotions are connected to your body and why that experience can be so painful. This builds the foundation for everything that follows
Step 2 — Regulating
You will build a real toolkit of strategies to manage what comes up day to day. Personalized, practical tools that work for how your response patterns actually operate.
Step 3 — Exploring
We go deeper into your past, family dynamics, the cultural pressures and unfair systems that shaped you. We connect the dots so healing becomes possible, not just management.
Step 4 — Envisioning
We define what a happy, meaningful life actually looks like for you. Then we build the mindset and take the committed action to make it real.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Here is what the process looks like from the start.
Every new client begins with a free 30-minute consultation. This is not a sales call. It is a real conversation to find out if we are the right fit for each other.
If we decide to move forward, we complete an intake process together so I have a clear picture of your history and your goals before our first session. From there, we meet weekly. The pace of progress is different for everyone, but the structure is consistent: regular sessions, an ongoing relationship, and work that builds on itself over time.
I believe in being direct with my clients. That means I will tell you what I am noticing. I will ask questions that push a little. And I will draw on your expertise in your own life, not impose a script onto it.
WHAT CLIENTS SAY
Heard. Understood. Changed.
150+ clients helped over 10 years.
You have already done the hardest part.
Admitting that something needs to change takes more courage than most people give themselves credit for. The consultation is free, low pressure, and the right next step.
GOOD QUESTIONS
A few things people usually want to know before booking.
-
All sessions are conducted via telehealth. I work with clients across Ontario, so wherever you are in the province, we can work together.
-
The best way to find out is to book a consultation. If I have availability, we will discuss next steps on the call. If my schedule is full, I will let you know and we can talk about timing.
-
A real conversation, not a formality. We will talk briefly about what is going on for you, how I work, and whether my approach feels like a good fit. It is low pressure and there is no obligation to continue.
